Joe Fresh Hat Recall Announced
Attention to our friends to the North and parents who buy kid gear online- as reported in Global News today, there’s a recall by Health Canada on Joe Fresh baby sun hats because of a potential choking hazard. Apparently the loop fastener on the hats may detach and pose a choking hazard. Health Canada says the company hasn’t received any reports of injuries, but advises people to stop using the products immediately.
According to the agency, the recall affects more than 65K hats sold this year through June 2019. The hats were made in China and distributed by Loblaw at stores including Shoppers Drug Mart, Atlantic Superstore, Extra Foods and Provigo. According to Loblaw, they can be returned to any Loblaw-branded store for a full refund.
After a little research, we found some for sale online on sites like ThredUP. So whether you’re purchasing in Canada or otherwise, be careful!
